Women in Faith Events

Mission:
The mission of Women in Faith events is to provide interfaith dialogue from the female perspective regarding the changing roles of women who participate as leaders and/or members of different faith communities.

Vision:
Texas Health Resources Faith Community Health and Faith Community Nursing Program in Denton will work with local faith communities to host, facilitate and evaluate programs intended to increase the participant’s knowledge of a variety of faith traditions focusing on the role of women within those traditions.

Goal:
The goal of Women in Faith Events is to provide a safe space for an interfaith dialogue focused on increasing knowledge of different diverse faith traditions and improving relationships in the greater Denton community.

Statement:
Given the impact that women of faith have in their own faith communities, we are working together to provide opportunities for interfaith dialogue within the Denton community. Panel discussions will include statements from female representatives from a variety of faith traditions, a time for questions, and a time for networking. These discussions are not intended only for women; however, our focus will be on the changing roles of women of faith. Our intention is to foster communication among those of all faiths by increasing knowledge and providing a safe space for meaningful discussions.
