Sukkot Retreat

Friday, September 28, 6:00 PM – Sunday, September 30, 12:00 PM

Experience the joy of this autumnal festival surrounded by lovely views and lovely people. The location is an easy hour and a half north at Lake Murray. Most people choose to arrive in time for a communal Shabbat dinner in the rustic dining hall. Then it’s campfire and s’mores before each family retires to their own private cabin. Cabins have electricity, beds, and mattresses. Just bring your own bedding and some cozy jammies.

Sukkot Retreat

Saturday morning after breakfast, we will celebrate Shabbat outdoors with our portable ark and Torah. Most of the day is Choose Your Own Adventure. Rabbi will be offering adult education and Lauren Cordova will be hosting a child-friendly craft activity. There is of course a lake begging to be swam in and trails waiting to be hiked. Or perhaps just a good book and a nap. Saturday evening is wrapped up with a magical outside havdalah ceremony and good times around the campfire.

Sunday morning it’s breakfast and then camp clean up and packing then sadly back to our regularly scheduled lives to await next year’s retreat.Experience the joy of this autumnal festival surrounded by lovely views and lovely people.
