Harrison Bleiberg, our ISJL Fellow this year, will be back January 18-20th! In addition to helping Rabbi with services Friday evening and offering some intriguing programming for our 6th-8th graders on Sunday, he will be running the Tot Shabbat on the 19th.
We’ll focus on making Tu b’Shevat relevant to the younger kids, with crafts and snacks as well. While this may appeal most to 3-7 year old kiddos, siblings of all ages are welcome!
Not sure what Tu b’Shevat is all about? Here’s some info to help you out:
As the ‘in-coming’ VP of Education, I wanted to introduce myself and welcome back all our returning students (and parents!) My name is Carey Roberts and I’m looking forward to being part of the wonderful team that makes CKA’s Religious School such a valuable asset to our congregation and community.
My husband and I have two children enrolled in Religious School so I’ve been on that side of it all for the last 5 years, which makes stepping into the role of VP exciting (and maybe a little daunting!) Thankfully, I’ve got Becky Lennard teaching me all she knows. I think we’ll have a great year!
I hope to meet more of the parents than I already know so please look for me in Onegie Hall while you wait for Jew-U to start or for your kiddos’ classes to let out. See you soon!
