Genizah Ceremony

October 15, 2020 – 10:00 AM

Something unique is happening at CKA on Thurday at 10AM. We are burying our genizah. A genizah is a storage of damaged and no-longer used sacred books and texts. One may not throw them out or burn them. They must be buried like a person.

We will be doing that very thing. The interment will be outside (naturally). We’ll have bagels and coffee for attendees. Be sure to wear your mask!
