Soulful Psalms – Psalm 119by Congregation Kol Ami – Flower Mound, Texas on July 25, 2024 at 11:00 am
We have another unique psalm to investigate this week. The Rabbi talks about many of those distinctive aspects like its structure (it is another alphabetic acrostic), its length (it is the longest psalm), its age (it predates the 613 mitzvot), and the fact this is a covenantal poem. Come away with the understanding of how studying Torah brings G-d’s presence to your life.

Soulful Psalms – Psalms 113 & 114by Congregation Kol Ami – Flower Mound, Texas on July 18, 2024 at 11:00 am
Today you are getting two psalms for the price of one! Rabbi Dennis discusses the hallel psalms. In particular, he takes a deeper dive into Psalms 113 and 114. These psalms are used at festivals commonly and speak to the exodus from Egypt, perhaps the most important event for Jews and their relationship with G-d.

Soulful Psalms – Psalm 104by Congregation Kol Ami – Flower Mound, Texas on June 27, 2024 at 11:00 am
This week’s psalm, 104, is another retelling of creation. Although not nearly as familiar, Rabbi Dennis examines where it is similar and where it varies from the telling of creation everyone knows from Genesis.
