Thanks to all congregants for your most generous donations which are helping benefit students and families at the school doors! We continue to welcome donations of snacks for Timbercreek Elementary (across the street from Kol Ami). Please be sure to drop off in Onegie Hall, and they will be delivered!
For our next initiative, it is time for Spring Cleaning! Specifically — toys.
Denton ISD Dept of Counseling and Social Work incorporates working with UNT Masters and Doctoral Students from the Dept of Play Therapy. In starting an initiative to provide before and afterschool Child Parent Relationship Therapy in the school setting, the following items that may be laying in your closets, toy boxes, or under your backseats, would be most greatfully used and repurposed to make kits for parents to use in Family therapy sessions:
• Small babydoll
• Real Baby Bottle
• Doctor Kit with stethoscope (masks, band aids/wrap)
• Toy phone
• Doll family
• Play Money
• Domestic and wild animals
• Car/Truck toy
• Plastic dishes, cups, eating utensils

• Dress up items like sunglasses, scarf, mirror

• Toy handcuffs w/ key
• Tiny containers of play-doh and kinetic sand
