ISJL Encyclopedia of Southern Jewish Communities
As many of you know, we partner with the Goldring Woldenberg Institute of Southern Jewish Life (ISJL) for our religious school curriculum. Our fellow also visits a few times a year to provide the classes with exciting, special programs.
Did you know they do a lot more than that? A fine example is the Encyclopedia of Southern Jewish Communities. If you have not ever visited, you should. It is an incredible resource for both the history as well as other compelling information about growing up Jewish in the South.
Video presentations more your thing? Check out their collection of oral histories or one of their other great videos on their YouTube page.
One caveat… You may find yourself spending too much time there exploring all their great resources. 😜
