Interfaith Habitat for Humanity Build
A true spirit of cooperation between faith congregations has brought us to this stage.
We will be putting love in action through the construction of a Home in Denton starting this Spring.
Meet our Family:
The Tarmos’ family of 7, emmigrated Tanzania. Their names are Benedict (dad), Mary (mom), Joseph (18) Gregory (18) Graceana (16), Gilbert (10) and Geoffrey (5). The older boys come and help their father Benedict work on Habitat Denton’s Pilot Point home build as part of the required Sweat Equity for their own home. Mary also works hours at Ruth’s Room, a non-profit retailer benefitting Habitat, Denton. They have already completed over 200 of the required Sweat Equity hours, eager to complete the remaining hours on their own Habitat Home.
Benedict was a General Practitioner in Tanzania, and wants to become licensed here. His son Joseph also has dreams to become a doctor for the very same reason his dad become a doctor, help others.
