GFC in 2021
Green Family Camp is already looking ahead to the 2021 Summer season. They have asked us to pass on the letter below, and to request you complete the survey if you are a former, current, or future attendee. You will find a link for the survey in the letter itself.
We hope that you and your loved ones are healthy and that you are finding ways to enjoy and appreciate the blessings of the summer. We are excited to share with you what we are working on for the coming months and about how you can help us plan for Summer 2021.
First and foremost, we want to express our gratitude for the outpouring of support, appreciation and love from our camp community. Hundreds of campers, staff, alumni, donors, families, and organizations joined us virtually during this past summer to bring camp to life in new and innovative ways.
As schools have begun sharing their plans for the year ahead, we have received numerous inquiries about what we have planned for summer 2021. We have already started planning for an in-person summer 2021 and a year filled with new ways to connect with camp! Determining what that will look like is the journey we are now beginning.
As you can imagine, there are many new considerations to ensure the health, safety, and programmatic excellence you have come to expect from us. We are working with our 14 URJ sister camps and a team of medical experts to establish a series of protocols and best practices that can enable us to feel the magic of camp in person next summer.
This process will take several weeks, and our goal is to be back in touch before Rosh Hashanah with a clearer picture of what we’re planning for the 2020-21 academic year as well as for Summer 2021. We recognize that right now, there are more questions than answers, and that living in this world of uncertainty and constant change is uncomfortable. Your perspective is crucial in the planning of our next successful summer. Please fill out this survey, which will provide us with valuable information about how our programs can best fit the needs of your family.
We remain committed to being as open as possible with our process, and we appreciate your continued trust in us. Please reach out with any questions and concerns you may have. I look forward to hearing from you, and to seeing you next summer in Bruceville!
L’shalom,
Rabbi Erin Mason
